The historic Silver Thread Byway is a fun 75 mile drive over the Continental Divide that winds through forests and BLM land.

Alpine Loop consists of 65 miles through the back roads of Lake City, Ouray & Silverton.

Five Fourteeners  Mountains to hike

Surrounding Lake City are the amazing mountains - Uncompahgre 14,309', Handies 14,048', Redcloud 14,034, Wetterhorn 14,015, Sunshine 14,001  There are also 26 Thirteeners!
